We celebrate the essential power of live theatre to enrich our cultural lives.
Our Mission
Wavestage Theatre Company exists to cultivate fearless performers and thoughtful storytellers while producing high-quality theatre for our community. We create inclusive opportunities for artists of all ages and experience levels, and foster a collaborative environment where curiosity is valued over perfection, collaboration over ego, and where brave, generous ensembles bring meaningful stories to life.
For 29 thrilling seasons, we’ve provided over 130 high quality theatrical performances to audiences throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Since our first season, over 3500 people have performed with Wavestage Theatre Company. We hold open auditions twice a year. Our educational mandate includes providing opportunities for performers at all levels to learn, grow, and enhance their skills in a supportive, nurturing and creative environment. Wavestage is committed to promoting excellence in every aspect of stagecraft, from performance to technical production. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, we aim to nurture artists who are confident, skilled, and passionate about bringing high-quality theatre to the community.
“Joining Wavestage has been one of the most profoundly positive experiences in my life. The passion of the incredibly talented artistic team not only fosters an exciting environment for their performers, but encourages everyone involved to connect with their love of theatre, excel above their own pre-concieved limitations, and create extraordinary art.”
